The Instituto de Formación Integral (Integral Training Institute, IFI) is Guatemala Red Cross’ section in charge of facilitating training processes which are oriented to provide a technical and practical knowledge for its voluntaries and general public that allows them to help assertively victims of accidents, climate or telluric events that could put their lives at risk. To achieve this, the Institute relies on a team of trained and qualified instructors in accordance with internationally recognized quality standards.

Likewise, the Institute facilitates educational processes oriented to integral human development, in a decent living and social inclusion framework to benefit the most vulnerable people. This component ensures that values and fundamental principles of the Movement will lead to specific actions through personal training, civic education, promotion of arts and culture. Its work includes educational and cultural modules in which teaching-learning processes are developed, whereby training for trades that promote the right and access to jobs and a decent life is provided. Services that facilitate an independent life and artistic expression spaces for people with disabilities are also promoted.
Furthermore, there is a group of services assigned to satisfy the need of another business and institutions at reasonable prices, such as lodging, meals and access to auditoriums for external training and cultural events.
The IFI’s courses are certified, since it has a training nature and promotes teaching-learning process.
